Radius Systems is looking for an Account Manager to join our growing team and help our customers find smarter and more energy-efficient solutions for their buildings. Radius Systems is a rapidly growing Mid-Atlantic provider of building automation systems (BAS), Security, CCTV, access control, HVAC controls, and lighting control systems. We work with building owners, engineers, contractors, and facility professionals to create safer, more efficient, and better-performing facilities.

This isn't a traditional "sit behind a desk and make cold calls" sales position. As an Account Manager, you'll become a trusted partner to our customers, learn their facilities and challenges, and connect them with technology and solutions that genuinely make a difference.

• Building owners and facility managers
• MEP engineers
• Contractors and construction professionals
• Equipment manufacturers and vendors
• Internal engineering and technical teams

You'll help take projects from an idea or customer need to a fully developed solution. From walking a job site and identifying an opportunity to develop the scope, preparing the proposal, coordinating with engineers and vendors, and presenting the solution to the customer, you'll be involved throughout the process.

What You'll Do

As an Account Manager, you will manage and grow existing customer relationships while identifying new opportunities within targeted markets. Your responsibilities will include:

• Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers
• Become a trusted resource for customers looking for technology and building solutions
• Conduct site visits and surveys to understand customer needs
• Identify opportunities to improve building performance, security, efficiency, and control
• Develop scopes of work, estimates, proposals, and sales presentations
• Coordinate and lead customer meetings and presentations
• Work with building owners, MEP engineers, contractors, and equipment vendors to develop project requirements
• Assist with specifications, engineering documentation, and project coordination
• Develop new customer opportunities within designated market segments
• Collaborate with Radius Systems' engineering, operations, and technical teams to deliver successful solutions
• Stay current with emerging building automation, security, and lighting technologies

Building Automation | HVAC Controls | Security | CCTV | Access Control | Lighting Controls | Energy Optimization | Mechanical Systems | Construction | Engineering | Project Management.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma plus a bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Automation Technology Engineering, or 10 years of field experience installing electrical or mechanical systems or working as a field technician
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, sales engineering, account management, or engineering related to BAS, security, or lighting systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of at least one BAS, access control, video surveillance, or lighting control system and its associated hardware/software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, CRM software, and Acrobat
• Comfort working with laptops, tablets, smartphones, and technology-based systems
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
