Position Overview
The Account Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing customer account setup, account maintenance, and master data governance activities across the organization. This position serves as both a working supervisor and subject matter expert, maintaining an active workload while providing day-to-day leadership, training, and oversight for the Account Maintenance team.
The Account Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting revenue generation, customer onboarding, billing accuracy, operational efficiency, and data integrity by ensuring customer information is established and maintained accurately across all business systems. This position serves as a primary liaison between Revenue Operations, Sales, Customer Solutions, Operations, Compliance, IT, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate processing of customer account requests.
Essential Functions
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, training, and performance oversight for Account Maintenance personnel.
- Assign and prioritize daily workload to ensure timely completion of account setup and account maintenance requests.
- Monitor department productivity, quality, accuracy, and service levels.
- Develop and maintain training materials, procedures, and process documentation.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for account setup and maintenance issues.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members as staffing needs arise.
- Drive accountability for departmental standards, data quality, and process compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Data Integrity & Governance
- Serve as the operational owner of customer master data quality.
- Establish and maintain controls to prevent duplicate accounts, incomplete records, and inaccurate customer information.
- Audit account records and identify corrective actions when data quality issues are discovered.
- Monitor compliance with customer setup standards and documentation requirements.
- Support internal audits, system conversions, and data validation efforts.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with Sales leadership to support customer onboarding and account activation.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on system enhancements, testing, and process improvements.
- Support Revenue Operations initiatives related to customer onboarding, billing accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in ERP, CRM, and business system implementation projects.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for account setup, customer master data, and account maintenance processes.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain departmental metrics and workload reporting.
- Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
- Support acquisition integrations, data migrations, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Ensure departmental compliance with established policies, controls, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account maintenance, customer onboarding, customer master data, billing operations, revenue operations, or related administrative functions.
- Previous leadership, team lead, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience supporting cross-functional business operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems preferred.
