Multifamily and Property Management Sales Representative
About us
Floors Galore is a flooring company with locations in Jacksonville, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. We serve homeowners, builders, multifamily and property management groups, commercial contractors, and epoxy and concrete coatings customers across North and South Carolina. Under new ownership since 2024, we are growing across the region organically and are actively pursuing acquisitions. We are investing in great people and better systems to get there.
The role
We're looking for someone early in their sales career who people trust quickly and who doesn't need to be pushed to get after it. We can teach you flooring. We can't teach integrity, emotional intelligence, or drive, so that's what we hire for.
You'll be the face of Floors Galore to property managers, maintenance supervisors, and regional leaders at apartment communities across our markets. Most of that work is steady: replacing flooring unit by unit as apartments turn over. Every so often, a community plans a renovation worth tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the relationships you've built decide who gets the call.
Some of the best people for this job have never sold flooring. If you've earned trust face to face in any of these fields, we want to hear from you:
- Auto sales
- Beer, wine, and spirits distribution
- Hospitality and event sales
- Building trades, roofing, restoration, or solar
- Insurance or banking
Any other role where your results depended on people trusting you
We especially welcome military spouses and service members transitioning out of the military.
What you will do
- Build relationships in person. Spend most of your week in the field, visiting leasing offices, walking properties with maintenance supervisors, and meeting regional and portfolio managers.
- Win the everyday work. Become a preferred vendor for unit turns, the steady replacement of carpet, vinyl plank, and other flooring between residents.
- Spot and pursue larger projects. Identify upcoming renovations and amenity upgrades, then lead the bid with our estimating team.
- Run professional walkthroughs. Measure and assess units, understand what the property needs, and present clear proposals.
- Respect the residents. Our crews often work in or near occupied homes. You'll set expectations with property staff so residents are treated well and the community's reputation is protected.
- Follow through. Keep your pipeline current in our CRM and hand off cleanly to operations and installation so every job goes the way you promised.
- Show up in the industry. Represent us at local apartment association events and trade gatherings.
What you bring
- 1 to 4 years in a role where you sold or earned business face to face. Show us results: rankings, volume, quota attainment, repeat customers, or referrals.
- People trust you. Customers come back to you, and colleagues would vouch for you. You tell clients the truth about pricing and timelines, and you own it when something goes wrong.
- High emotional intelligence. You read people well and adjust, whether you're talking with a maintenance tech on a job site or presenting to a regional manager.
- Drive that comes from inside. You set your own pace, follow up without being reminded, and stay steady through a no.
- Clear, professional communication. In person, on the phone, and in writing.
- Organized. You can manage a pipeline, a calendar, and a CRM without things slipping.
- A valid driver's license and a driving record that qualifies for our company auto insurance.
No flooring experience? Good. We'll teach you.
Your First Year
We won't hire you and leave you to figure it out. Here's what we expect, and what we commit to in return.
In your first 30 days, you will learn our products, pricing, and process. Meet the property teams in your market. We will provide product training, ride-alongs with installers and estimators, and time with your manager every week.
By 90 days, you will run walkthroughs and bids on your own. Have active opportunities across the region. We will provide estimating support on every bid and a clear commission plan you can track.
By 12 months, you will have a growing set of communities using us for turns, and your first larger project in the works. We will have mentored you on a path to $100,000 OTE and room to grow as the company expands.

- Bonus for achieving gross margin dollar goals
