Position Summary


Our Client, a National benefits broker in North Dallas is growing and has a need for an Account Executive to join their team!  This is NOT a sales role but more of a liaison between the customer and the support team.  The Account Executive is responsible for managing small-group benefits opportunities from initial prospect engagement through implementation and renewal. This role partners with business owners, leadership teams, and human resources contacts to identify employee benefits solutions that align with organizational goals, workforce needs, and budget requirements. The Account Executive serves as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle and supports long-term client retention through strategic renewal planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned small-group sales opportunities from initial contact through closing.
  • Respond promptly to inbound referrals and business opportunities from internal and external channels.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with organizational decision-makers and HR stakeholders.
  • Assess existing benefits programs, employee demographics, renewal timelines, challenges, and objectives.
  • Analyze market options and recommend appropriate benefits solutions, including fully insured and alternative funding arrangements.
  • Prepare benefit proposals and cost comparisons using established processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop customized recommendations.
  • Guide prospective clients through implementation, enrollment, servicing, and ongoing support processes.
  • Address objections, manage follow-up activities, and drive opportunities toward a timely decision.
  • Secure required documentation and commitments to facilitate implementation.
  • Maintain accurate client, pipeline, and activity records within the organization's CRM platform.
  • Partner with account management and client service teams during the renewal process.
  • Review client performance, feedback, and changing organizational needs.
  • Develop renewal strategies and evaluate available market alternatives when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create renewal recommendations.
  • Lead renewal discussions and support client decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance or expand employee benefits offerings.
  • Support retention initiatives and maintain strong ongoing client relationships.
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance consulting, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of small-group employee benefits programs.
  • Experience with fully insured and alternative funding arrangements.
  • Familiarity with state and carrier guidelines affecting employee benefits programs.
  • Experience developing benefit proposals and conducting market comparisons.
  • Working knowledge of medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefit plans.
  • Experience leading client consultations, recommendation meetings, and renewal discussions.
  • Life and Health Insurance License required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
