    Position Overview

    The Factoring Account Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of a portfolio of factoring clients while developing the skills necessary to advance into a senior Account Manager or Relationship Manager role.

    This position serves as a key point of contact for clients and works closely with the Credit, Operations, Underwriting, and Business Development teams to ensure clients receive excellent service while maintaining appropriate credit and risk controls.

    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, financially analytical, responsive to clients, and interested in developing a career in factoring, asset-based lending, or commercial finance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Client & Account Management

    • Assist with the day-to-day management of an assigned portfolio of factoring clients.
    • Develop strong working relationships with clients and their accounting/finance personnel.
    • Respond promptly to client questions regarding advances, invoices, collections, reserves, and account activity.
    • Monitor client activity and identify issues that may require escalation to senior management.
    • Assist with client onboarding and ongoing account administration.
    • Maintain accurate and timely account documentation.

    Portfolio Monitoring

    • Monitor daily borrowing activity, invoice submissions, collections, and availability.
    • Review accounts receivable aging reports and identify past-due or potentially problematic receivables.
    • Monitor dilution, concentrations, customer credit exposure, disputes, and other portfolio trends.
    • Review client financial information and operating reports as assigned.
    • Assist with monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews.
    • Escalate credit, collateral, or operational concerns to the appropriate senior team member.

    Factoring Operations

    • Review invoices and supporting documentation for eligibility and compliance with factoring requirements.
    • Assist with advance calculations and collateral availability.
    • Monitor collections and apply payments accurately to client accounts.
    • Assist with resolving customer disputes, short pays, offsets, and other receivable issues.
    • Coordinate with internal operations and cash application personnel.
    • Help ensure transactions are processed accurately and within established procedures.

    Credit & Risk Support

    • Assist senior Account Managers and Credit Officers with annual and periodic client reviews.
    • Analyze accounts receivable trends and customer payment performance.
    • Help prepare credit packages, portfolio reports, and client review materials.
    • Identify changes in client performance, borrowing patterns, or collateral quality.
    • Assist with field examinations, audits, and other collateral monitoring activities when appropriate.

    Business Development Support

    • Develop an understanding of the factoring market and the company's target industries.
    • Support senior Relationship Managers with prospective client requests and new business opportunities.
    • Assist in gathering financial, borrowing base, and accounts receivable information for prospective clients.
    • Learn how to evaluate potential factoring opportunities and identify appropriate financing structures.
    • Participate in client meetings and calls as experience develops.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
    • 1–3 years of experience in commercial lending, factoring, accounts receivable, banking, credit, finance, or a related field preferred.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Ability to understand financial statements and accounts receivable reports.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong customer-service orientation.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work effectively with clients and internal departments.
