JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Administrator supports the Credit Department by managing customer account information, maintaining accurate records, processing credit-related documentation, assessing credit risk and providing administrative support to ensure efficient credit operations. This role works closely with Credit Analysts, Sales, Stores and customers to help minimize risk while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple systems and deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze customer credit activity and support credit limit reviews and adjustments.
- Approve order releases for over-limit accounts when appropriate.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, billing statements, and account balances.
- Review payment remittances and investigate short pays, deductions, and payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer accounts and ensure account balances are accurate.
- Collaborate between customers and internal departments to resolve account issues.
- Maintain customer account records across multiple systems and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Research and resolve customer disputes while providing outstanding customer service.
- Meet established deadlines and performance expectations.
- Support commitment to quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- 3-5 years of Credit/Accounts Receivable, account management, or support experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Knowledge of short-pay research and dispute resolution.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multiple systems and databases.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to successfully manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and the abilities to exchange information both verbally as well as through written communication as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
