Accident Reconstruction Professional Engineer (P.E.)
A nationally respected engineering firm is seeking an experienced Accident Reconstruction Professional Engineer (P.E.) to lead complex motor vehicle collision investigations and serve as a trusted technical advisor in high-stakes legal matters.
This is a highly visible, client-facing role offering the opportunity to apply advanced engineering judgment, mentor developing engineers, and represent the firm in legal settings.
Compensation up to $150k a year, bonus eligibility, and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities:
Lead accident reconstruction investigations from assignment through final deliverables
Conduct scene inspections, vehicle examinations, and evidence analysis
Perform engineering analyses using accepted reconstruction methodologies, simulations, and analytical modeling
Prepare and approve technical reports and visual exhibits that are clear, accurate, and legally defensible
Serve as the primary technical contact for clients and cases, including participation in meetings, depositions, and courtroom testimony as required
Mentor Associate Engineers and provide technical guidance and oversight
Ensure compliance with professional engineering standards, licensure requirements, and ethical obligations
Travel regionally to support investigations, client meetings, and court appearances
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
4+ years of relevant engineering experience, including accident reconstruction or forensic analysis
Strong technical knowledge of vehicle dynamics, crash mechanics, and reconstruction methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience mentoring junior engineers preferred
