AMSG is seeking an Access Control Security Technician to support our customer at the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) who will serve as the primary point of contact at the DCMA Headquarters security desk for all incoming and outgoing personnel, visitors, and inquiries. This role implements the facility's physical security program and supports Force Protection Condition (FPCON) requirements, combining hands-on access control and customer service with intermittent administrative support to the agency's Personnel Security and Counter-Insider Threat programs.

Required
- Experience in access control, front-desk security, reception, or a related customer-facing security role.
- Comfort operating access control systems, package screening equipment, and video surveillance/CCTV systems.
- Strong customer service skills; professional, calm, and courteous under pressure, including during emergencies.
- Ability to maintain accurate logs, rosters, and administrative records with close attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely and handle sensitive personnel information appropriately.
- Prior experience with the Defense Information Security System (DISS) or similar personnel security case-management systems preferred.
- Prior experience supporting a Personnel Security or Counter-Insider Threat office preferred.
- Experience working within a DoD or other federal facility security environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide concierge-style assistance at the DCMA Headquarters security desk with a strong focus on both security and proactive, friendly customer service.
- Maintain headquarters access control: verify identity and process access requests for employees, contractors, and visitors to the facility.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs and security rosters.
- Assist visitors with directions, contact sponsor offices, and escort visitors as needed, including assisting Emergency Management Services (EMS) personnel during emergencies.
- Operate package screening equipment.
- Operate the video surveillance system: log on, review recorded footage, adjust camera views/angles, and preserve and export footage as needed.
- Maintain overall situational awareness of the building to support physical security and force protection, reporting suspicious activity or physical security vulnerabilities to the Security Manager.
- Open and close secure rooms daily or upon request by validated government customers.
- Provide intermittent administrative support for Personnel Security (PERSEC) activities when not assisting customers or processing visitors, including:
- In- and out-processing of personnel (civilian/military), including security terminations and debriefs
- Creating Visit Access Requests (VARs) in the Defense Information Security System (DISS)
- Updating the Automated Listing of Eligibility and Clearances (ALEC) and Electronic Security Personnel File (EPSF) internal database systems
- Assisting with processing Continuous Vetting questionnaires for clearance eligibility
- Processing foreign travel notifications for cleared personnel
- Validating clearances for System Authorization Access Requests (SAARs) to DoW systems and information
- Assist the Counter-Insider Threat (C-InT) Program with preliminary inquiries and provide reports of action/findings to the C-InT Program Manager.
- Monitor and maintain routine security-related correspondence, including organizational email inboxes, physical mail, and internal memorandums, in strict accordance with provided Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
