About This Role

This position provides specialized administrative support for the Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine. This individual provides assistance of high-level and technical support to faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students. This position reports to direct supervisor or Department Head.

What You''ll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver''s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Personal computing and data entry courses, business procedures course, knowledge of computers and software, public relations skills, general secretarial skills, positive and cooperative relationships with faculty, students and colleagues, good listening skills and ability to follow through on assignments. Demonstrative good judgment and independent decisions. General knowledge of English grammar and spelling.

Additional Role Information:

  • All faculty and students. Update telephone directory for the faculty, staff and students. Order office supplies for the department using General Ledger and state contracted accounts as needed. Responsible for reimbursements from Foundation for faculty members and candidates as
