Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. The Academic Learning Specialist serves as a student success professional within the Associate Degree Nursing Program. The position provides academic coaching, student support services, remediation, clinical readiness coordination, and NCLEX preparation support designed to improve student retention, progression, graduation, and licensure outcomes. The position plays a critical role in helping students develop effective learning habits, clinical judgment, test-taking strategies, note-taking techniques, and NCLEX readiness while ensuring compliance with clinical requirements necessary for progression in the program.
