Academic Coach Required Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills Administrative, supervisory and/or leadership skills Minimum of five years teaching/education experience Organization and prioritization skills Excellent interpersonal skills Essential Job Responsibilities: Communicates vision/mission to school personnel as appropriate Directs, coordinates, monitors, literacy initiatives as outlined in school level and system level continuous improvement plans Relates school goals to professional development activities Models, observes, and monitors the use of best practices by all teachers as related to student achievement initiatives Provides training and professional development in coordination with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Literacy Coordinator Assists in planning and implementation of school schedules Assists in the development of school continuous improvement plans *Maintain confidentiality with regards to sensitive information and material
