About this Job
The Department of Justice, Office of Attorney General Liz Murrill, is seeking applications for an experienced AAG/Assistant Solicitor General in the Federalism Division to represent the State of Louisiana in state and federal habeas corpus proceedings. The candidate will be an exceptional litigator working in a high-volume, deadline driven environment while successfully defending the validity of criminal convictions in state and federal courts. Salary offered will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected.
The position will be domiciled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, East Baton Rouge Parish. Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory background check, drug testing, and reference verifications.
