As a Lead Mechanic, you will not only perform maintenance tasks but also provide training, mentorship, and guidance to your assigned team. Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure completion of maintenance tasks in accordance with federal regulations and company policies.
- Lead maintenance, preventative maintenance, and approvals for aircraft components.
- Conduct crew meetings to promote effective communication and ensure work, safety, and quality standards.
- Order parts, maintain material inventory, and ensure timely submission of engineering requests.
- Mentor and develop technical and leadership skills within the team.
- Identify and suggest process improvements for increased efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety requirements and regulations.
- Monitor and manage labor hours and resources to optimize efficiency.
- Provide regular feedback, performance coaching, and handle disciplinary matters as needed.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor on task prioritization and completion.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of recent commercial aircraft maintenance or MRO experience.
- Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documents and regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems efficiently.
- Experience in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and major components.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and basic PC skills.
