A&P Mechanic’s will perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft, engines, and components on turboprob business aircraft at the Part 145 Service Center. Key Responsibilities:
- Performs airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements
- Removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts; and testing aircraft systems
- Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems, using approved or accepted data issued by the manufacturer or FAA
- Operates all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment
- Completes all required maintenance records as stated in Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals
- Accurately records time worked on aircraft work order
- Interprets technical manuals, drawings and blueprints
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality
- Presents a clean and neat work area to customers – facility cleanliness and general housekeeping
- Performs other aircraft maintenance work as required
- Tows and parks aircraft
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Basic shop upkeep (Sweeping, mopping, cleaning, etc.).
- Lifting/moving items 50lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights.
- Must be able to work with one or both hands extended overhead.
- The ability to travel as needed.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience REQUIRED, 5+ years preferred
- Experience with TBM, SOCATA or similar turboprop business aircraft preferred.
- Must be capable of performing both powerplant & sheet metal maintenance
- Quality and/or Structural experience a plus.
- Must have own tools.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- Must be eligible to work legally in the US.
- Valid US Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check.
- Valid & Current A&P License REQUIRED
- Valid Drivers License
- HS Diploma or GED
- MIN 3 years’ experience, 5+ years preferred as an A&P mechanic performing BOTH powerplant and airframe maintenance
- MUST HAVE TOOLS!
- 5+ years’ experience preferred
- PT6 engine experience a big plus – that’s what they’ll be working on.
- Prior quality and/or structural experience is also a plus.
