A-Level Automotive Diagnostic Technician

$25–$35 per hour | Full-Time
AutoShop Recruiting has partnered with Big O Tires and Central Arizona Auto Group to hire an experienced A-Level Automotive Diagnostic Technician for the Peoria Avenue location.
We need a well-rounded technician who can identify root causes, complete advanced mechanical and electrical repairs, and provide technical guidance to developing technicians.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, and computer-controlled systems
- Resolve complex drivability and electrical concerns
- Perform engine and transmission removal and replacement
- Diagnose and repair heating and air-conditioning systems
- Use scan tools and manufacturer diagnostic software
- Develop accurate repair plans
- Follow manufacturer procedures and specifications
- Complete final quality checks and road tests
- Document diagnostic steps, findings, and completed repairs
- Communicate repair needs and timelines to service advisors
- Mentor B- and C-Level Technicians
- Continue developing knowledge of EV, ADAS, and emerging vehicle technology
What We’re Looking For
- At least three years of professional automotive-technician experience or master-level training
- Strong diagnostic, electrical, drivability, and mechanical-repair skills
- Proficiency with scan tools and diagnostic software
- Ability to independently complete advanced repairs
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds when required
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
