Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position serves as a Consolidated Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist / Local Veterans' Employment Representative (LVER) and is responsible for assisting with the development of the service delivery strategies for veterans and educating partner staff with current employment initiatives and programs for veterans. This position will also provide outreach and facilitate placements to meet the employment needs of eligible veterans and eligible spouses entitled to benefits, in accordance with priorities as determined by the Federal Department of Labor. This position confers with Management to assist in identifying improvement processes and develop solutions for the Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) program.
Performs duties outlined in Title 38 of the United States Code (U.S.C.), 4104(b)(1)(2), as amended by Public Law 100-323. The incumbent will assure the local office is in compliance with Federal Regulations, standards of performance and contractual provisions of the grant agreement mandating special services for Veterans.
