Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a professional position responsible for coordination with the leadership within the Division of Workforce Services on the various strategic initiatives of the division.
The incumbent in this position uses analytical skills and independent judgment to perform complex planning, research, and consultative work.
Assist the Deputy Secretary and Staff Director in the development of new division policies, procedures, long range strategic and business plans.
Review and recommend improvements to existing division policies, procedures, strategic and business plans.
At the direction of leadership, this position is responsible to oversee the division's critical objectives as determined by the Deputy Secretary and Staff Director and make sure that the division's objectives are clearly communicated through division initiatives.
Provide leadership for the division's priority issues that require integration of policy, management, and critical objectives from multiple programs and organizations internal and external to the division; and assists with organizing and managing external communication on such priority issues.
Lead long-range strategic planning efforts to anticipate innovative organizational change necessary to help ensure institutional effectiveness and agility.
