    Job Opening: 7th Grade Science Teacher
    Location: Flushing, NY 11367
    Type: Part-Time
    Schedule: 12:30 pm-4:40 pm 
    First Day of School: August 31, 2026
    Class size: Approximately 20–24 students.

    Overview: The 7th Grade Science Teacher will join a team and be part an exciting expansion of innovative STEM programming! This person will help shape the next generation of problem-solvers, engineers, and creative thinkers. The ideal candidate will create engaging, hands-on lessons that foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and a love of learning while aligning with curriculum standards, and will help cultivate a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, responsibility, and academic growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum standards.
    • Foster a positive, nurturing, and productive classroom environment.
    • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
    • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student growth and classroom activities.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administration to support student success.
    • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
    • Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong classroom management, collaboration with colleagues, and the ability to integrate technology into instruction are essential.
    • Experience in a Jewish day school or an appreciation for Jewish values and education is preferred. 
    • Master's degree 
    • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Commitment to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in students.
