Position Overview St. Barnabas Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 7th/8th grade teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that supports academic excellence, faith formation, and the development of the whole child.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned to curriculum standards
Foster a positive, structured classroom environment rooted in respect and high expectations
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Use data to inform instruction and support student growth
Integrate Catholic values and faith into daily instruction and classroom culture
Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
Collaborate with colleagues through PLCs and team planning
Participate in school events, faith formation activities, and professional development
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain)
Commitment to Catholic education and values
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
