7th & 8th Grade Science Teacher

Oconto Unified School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Middle School Science Teacher to inspire and engage 7th and 8th-grade students. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction for 7th- and 8th-grade students
• Develop hands-on, inquiry-based lessons and laboratory experiences
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
• Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom and lab environment
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Collaborate with colleagues
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

️ Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

️ Certification: Valid Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to obtain)

️ Experience: Previous experience teaching middle school science preferred but not required

️ Skills: Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills

️ Passion: Commitment to student growth and a love for teaching
