An SAP BW Migration Consultant
leads the technical transition of classic SAP Business Warehouse (BW) systems to advanced platforms like SAP BW on HANA, BW/4HANA, or modern cloud data fabrics
Job Brief
We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Migration Consultant with hands-on expertise in upgrading, converting, and optimizing enterprise data warehousing environments. You will guide stakeholders through end-to-end migration roadmaps, modernize data models, and ensure zero data discrepancy and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities

• Migration Execution: Plan and execute end-to-end migrations from legacy SAP BW to SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, or cloud platforms using in-place or remote conversion strategies.
• Data Modeling: Re-model classic objects (InfoCubes, MultiProviders, 3.x/7.x data flows) into advanced DataStore objects (aDSOs) and CompositeProviders.
• Housekeeping & Optimization: Perform pre-migration cleanups, shrink database sizes through archiving or Near-Line Storage (NLS), and run SAP standard task lists (STC01).
• Validation & Testing: Coordinate pre- and post-migration testing, compare query performance runtimes, and resolve data inconsistencies. [1, 2]
• Collaboration: Partner with Basis teams, ABAP developers, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into robust architectural blueprints.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of specialized experience in SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA implementation and migration projects.
• Technical Skills: Strong mastery of data extraction (ODP, SLT, BODS), ABAP routines, and HANA database administration.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with modern hybrid architectures involving SAP Datasphere, SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), or hyperscalers.
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
