Systems Engineer 2 (Associate Systems Engineer)

Location: Ridley Park, PA 19078 (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Start Date: 04/03/2026
Schedule: First Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $60per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to support engineering and systems development activities at a major aerospace design center in Ridley Park, PA. The team designs and supports a wide range of aerospace and defense platforms including vertical lift aircraft, commercial aircraft, fixed-wing fighters, satellites, and space launch systems.

This role will support systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle, including requirements development, system analysis, and system integration.


Key Responsibilities

Systems Engineering Support

  • Apply a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to assist with system analysis, design, development, and verification.

  • Support development of lifecycle-balanced system-of-systems and integrated system solutions.

Requirements & System Analysis

  • Assist in evaluating customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements.

  • Support integration of technical parameters across physical, functional, and program interfaces.

  • Participate in system architecture and system-of-systems analysis activities.

System Performance & Reliability

  • Assist with engineering analyses related to:

    • Safety and reliability

    • Maintainability and testability

    • Human systems integration

    • Survivability and vulnerability

    • System security and regulatory compliance

  • Support development of preferred system configurations that ensure mission success.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline

  • 2+ years of related engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo or similar modeling platforms

  • Experience with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
