Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
- Lead and implement manufacturing plans.
- Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements.
- Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices.
- Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
- Resolve technical problems that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule.
- Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
- Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
- Implement lean principles and technologies
Work Authorization Statement:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Must have a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and applicable experience in a professional exempt engineering classification.
- 5+ or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
5+ years of engineering experience related to the development, selection, and/or revision of parts, materials, and process specifications for production testing, electrical subsystems, aircraft interiors, and other aircraft systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, including ownership of value stream build plans.
- Experience with 787 systems, build plans, production testing, electrical installations, and/or aircraft interiors is a plus.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a diverse and demanding work environment and schedule.
