    5th Grade Reading/Language Arts Teacher

    Location: Richardson, TX 75240
    School District: Richardson ISD
    Position Type: Full-Time Contract | School Year

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated 5th Grade Reading/Language Arts Teacher to join a Richardson ISD campus for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will provide engaging literacy instruction and help students strengthen their reading, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver engaging 5th grade Reading/Language Arts instruction aligned with Texas academic standards.

    • Develop lesson plans, instructional activities, and assessments that support student learning.

    • Teach reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and language skills.

    • Differentiate instruction to meet a range of student abilities and learning needs.

    • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student performance.

    • Establish and maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.

    • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families regarding student progress.

    • Maintain accurate student records and instructional documentation.

    • Participate in campus meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

    • Appropriate Texas teaching certification for the assigned grade/subject.

    • Experience teaching Reading/Language Arts preferred.

    • Strong classroom management, communication, and instructional skills.
