About This Opportunity
Judit Inc. is hiring on behalf of one of our largest clients — a global technology leader in consumer electronics, semiconductors, and mobile communications. This is a temporary, contract position: you’ll be employed by Judit Inc. and work directly alongside our client’s team.
The description below is our client’s overview of the background, skills, and experience they’re looking for. If you meet most — but not all — of these, we still want to hear from you. Your Judit recruiter will walk you through the day-to-day work, schedule, pay, and contract length before anything moves forward.
What you’ll do
You’ll test mobile devices on live 4G LTE and 5G networks to make sure they meet quality and wireless-carrier requirements. Most of your time is in the field — developing and running test plans, analyzing protocol behavior and device logs, and recommending ways to improve device performance. The team’s top skills for this role are quality assurance, 5G technology, and RF engineering.
- Develop and execute test strategies and plans that validate device (UE) functionality on 4G/5G air-interface and call-processing technology
- Perform LTE and 5G field protocol testing with mobile handsets on live networks, including detailed analysis of 4G and 5G protocols
- Analyze customer requirements, convert them into system requirements, and capture detailed design for the development team
- Support product and feature performance analysis and evaluate new product and software releases
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues reported from customer labs, field sites, and the production network
- Evaluate and trend key KPIs, run trials, and provide optimization guidelines to improve device performance
- Set up test plans that meet deadlines based on requests from the project lead
- Identify risk items based on issues found during testing
What you’ll bring
- 0–3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of 4G and 5G air-interface and call-processing technologies and network architecture, focused on the Radio Access Network (RAN)
- Solid understanding of end-to-end LTE and 5G network architecture
- Good knowledge of 5G NSA and SA
- Verbal and written communication, problem-solving, customer-service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your time
Nice to have
- Associate degree or higher in a technical field
- Familiarity or expertise with UE log post-processing tools (QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, and modem diagnostic monitors) and a good understanding of over-the-air (OTA) signaling messages
- Ability to analyze and debug IMS features, including registration, VoLTE, VoWiFi, ViLTE, conferencing, SMS, MMS, and RCS
- Experience post-processing UE logs and analyzing KPIs
- LTE and 5G NR field-test experience on a live network
- Test experience with 5G SA, NSA, and NTN, including official carrier field test plans (e.g., Verizon DFIT, AT&T AVDFT, T-Mobile F4L)
