What You’ll Do
  • Provide specialized nursing care for surgical patients in orthopedic, general, podiatry, gynecology/obstetrics including C-sections, pain management, urology, and endoscopy cases
  • Demonstrate proficiency and independence in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and management to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Promote patient safety through adherence to hospital policies and medication rights
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and uphold clinical standards
  • Support patient advocacy, respecting cultural and religious beliefs, end-of-life decisions, and confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members
  • Maintain professional development through ongoing competency training and orientation
What You Need
Required:
  • RN License in New Mexico
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI certifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience in surgical nursing (preferred)
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts consistently

Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Additional language skills
About the Assignment
