What Youll Do- Support pre-operative patient care and assist in surgical procedures across various specialties, including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Robotics, and more.
- Prepare the operating room by setting up supplies and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for breaches in protocol.
- Transport and position patients accurately for surgery.
- Identify and care for biological specimens.
- Pass instruments and sutures, assisting the surgeon as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical team members to deliver safe and efficient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies on sterilization, safety, and infection control.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout procedures.
What You Need- Active BLS certification from AHA
- Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license
- Minimum 2 years of relevant surgical technologist experience (preferred)
- Ability to scrub in at least three specialty areas is highly preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and aseptic skills
