What Youll Do
- Provide preoperative nursing care, including initial patient assessments
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established standards
- Reassess patients regularly and modify care plans accordingly
- Educate patients and families on health, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Perform point-of-care testing procedures accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective patient care
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards
What You Need
Required:- Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Strong patient assessment and care planning skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
Preferred:- Prior experience in preoperative or surgical nursing
- Knowledge of EPIC electronic medical records
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs
