    5-Axis CNC Milling Specialist

    A day on the cell

    You badge in, open our proprietary work-center dashboard, and review the day’s queue. A family of aerospace parts is staged on the FMC system fed by several Okuma milling centers. You load tooling, confirm offsets, and execute efficient set-ups for production runs. Throughout the shift, you read blueprints and on-screen work instructions, keeping quality at the forefront.

    The role

    Join our production team to operate 4-axis and 5-axis mills—specifically, an FMC system supporting multiple Okuma milling centers.

    We are hiring for First and Second shifts.

    What you’ll handle

    • Operate 4-axis and 5-axis CNC mills within an FMC environment.
    • Read and follow blueprints and computer-based instructions in our proprietary software.
    • Perform precise machine set-ups for production runs.
    • Inspect in-process and finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and measurement gauges.
    • Interpret engineering drawings to determine inspection requirements.
    • Review and interpret CMM inspections and reports.
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and policies.

    What you bring

    • Comfort operating 4-axis and 5-axis mills.
    • Ability to follow blueprints and proprietary, on-screen work instructions.
    • Team-first mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Clear written and verbal communication.
    • Working knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness.
    • Willingness to share feedback for continuous improvement.

    Preferred

    • Experience on Okuma CNC mills.
    • Familiarity with Fastems FPC or similar automated machining technologies.

    Proficiencies

    • Quality inspection experience.
    • Machine set-ups for production runs.

    • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM): Zeiss
    • Quality Control Software: Calypso, 1Factory
    • Measurement gauges and related metrology tools
