Job
Description
The
district
is
seeking
4
teachers
to
provide
in-person
academic
assistance
before
or
after
school
in
the
areas
of
English
Language
Arts
and
Mathematics
for
students
with
identified
instructional
needs.
Each
teacher
will
hold
two
45-minute
academic
assistance
sessions
per
week.
Teachers
in
this
position
will
provide
targeted
instruction
to
address
gaps
identified
through
student
assessment
data.
Teachers
will
be
provided
up
to
5
hours
for
data
collection
and
analysis
prior
to
the
start
of
the
program,
as
well
as
ongoing
data
analysis
time
throughout
the
program,
with
one
hour
allotted
for
every
four
student
sessions.

initial
data
collection/planning:

progress
monitoring:

through
Title
IA
(includes
11.25
minutes
of
prep
time
and
45
minutes
of
instruction
time
at
the
rates
as
indicated
in
the
OEA
CBA)
Requirements:
NJ
Teaching
Certificate
(Elementary,
K-6,
English
language
arts,
mathematics)
Experience
with
teaching
grades
5-8
preferred
Responsibilities :
Establish
learning
goals
by
analyzing
data
to
determine
areas
of
weakness
Provide
targeted,
small
group
instruction
to
address
skill
gaps
identified
through
student
assessment
data
Collect,
track,
and
monitor
student
progress
using
designated
data
systems
or
progress
monitoring
tools
Maintain
accurate
records
of
student
attendance,
instructional
focus,
and
progress
toward
goals
Communicate
with
parents
regarding
progress,
attendance,
etc.
Work
collaboratively
with
other
program
teachers
as
needed
Report
to
building
principal
regarding
student
progress
as
requested
