Birch Agency is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and engaging 4th / 5th Grade Split Classroom Teacher for a K 8 public charter school in Cleveland, Ohio.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who enjoys creating a supportive, engaging, and structured classroom environment while helping students build the academic skills and confidence they need to succeed.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching upper elementary students, comfortable differentiating instruction across grade levels, and committed to fostering a positive classroom culture.
What You'll Do
Plan and deliver engaging instruction for a combined 4th and 5th grade classroom.
Develop lesson plans aligned with Ohio academic standards and curriculum expectations.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students across both grade levels.
Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
Implement classroom management strategies that promote student success.
Collaborate with fellow educators, school leadership, and support staff.
Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
What We're Looking For
Valid Ohio teaching license or Ohio substitute teaching license.
Previous classroom teaching experience preferred.
Experience teaching upper elementary grades is a plus.
Ability to effectively differentiate instruction for a split-grade classroom.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A genuine passion for helping students learn and succeed.
Licensed teachers and candidates holding an Ohio substitute teaching license are encouraged to apply! Compensation & Benefits
