4K Wraparound Recreation Assistant

The 4K Wraparound Recreation Assistant provides direct support and supervision during critical mid-day transition periods, 11:00 am - 1:15 pm, for 4K students. This role ensures a safe, structured, and engaging environment while assisting young learners with lunch routines, transportation transitions, and low-intensity recreational play.

• Mid-Day Transportation & Transitions: Safely escort and assist 4K students during school bus arrival and departure, ensuring seamless mid-day transitions between half-day 4K programs and wraparound care.

• Lunchroom/Classroom Supervision: Supervise students during lunch, assisting with opening items, monitoring food safety, promoting positive social habits, and maintaining a clean environment.

• Recreational Activity & Play: Lead and supervise low-intensity recreational activities, active indoor/outdoor play, and quiet rest time tailored for four-year-old development.

• Student Safety & Behavior Management: Maintain continuous line-of-sight supervision, implement age-appropriate behavior management, and foster a welcoming, safe environment.

• Communication: Work collaboratively with school staff, transportation drivers, and department leadership to communicate relevant updates or daily transition details.
