Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Trainer - Sheet Metal to plan, develop, and deliver technical training programs for field support personnel and customers. This role focuses on sheet metal fabrication and production processes within a manufacturing environment and includes classroom and hands-on training responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and coordinate in-house product training programs. Prepare training materials, course content, lesson plans, and training aids. Determine training methodologies and develop criteria to evaluate training effectiveness. Conduct classroom and skills-based training sessions. Support implementation of new training programs and manufacturing processes. Continuously revise lesson plans to meet new training requirements and maintain current technical content. Utilize subject matter experts or technical trainers as needed.
Top 3 Required Skills & Experience:
Sheet Metal Fabrication Expertise • 6 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication or production environments • Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming, cutting, bending, and assembly processes • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and fabrication specifications
Technical Training & Instruction • 4-6 years of experience developing and delivering technical training programs • Proven ability to conduct classroom and hands-on training for production personnel • Experience creating lesson plans, training materials, and skills evaluation criteria
Manufacturing Production Operations • 4-6 years of experience working in manufacturing or industrial production environments • Experience supporting new process implementation or changes to production workflows • Ability to track training progress, maintain certification records, and evaluate trainee competency
Shift Options: Candidates must be able to work one of the following schedules: Monday-Thursday • First Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM • Second Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
Travel Requirement: Yes - Up to 4 months of training in Virginia prior to returning to Charleston, SC

Basic Qualifications: 6 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in a related field OR 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Masters degree in a related field
