What Youll Do
- Provide exceptional labor and delivery care for antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring (C-EFM) and respond proactively to patient needs
- Attend to routine deliveries, including C-sections and initial newborn assessments
- Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with AWHONN standards for patient-to-nurse ratios and safety
- Support family education and emotional needs during labor and postpartum
What You Need
- Active RN license in Louisiana or compact/license in another state
- BLS certification (required)
- NRP certification (required)
- Certification in AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (required within 1 month of start)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
