What Youll Do
- Provide pulmonary and respiratory care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill patients under physician direction.
- Perform patient assessments and implement respiratory care plans.
- Respond to emergency events, including Code Blue and Code White situations.
- Manage airways, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning.
- Set up and manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, oxygen delivery devices, and other airway support equipment.
- Administer aerosolized medications and monitor therapeutic oxygen and gas delivery.
- Collect and analyze blood gases, review chest films and EKGs, document care accurately, and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies.
What You Need
Required:- RT or RCP license in the state of employment
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential through NBRC
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through AHA
- Adult ICU and critical care experience
- Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and holidays
- Ability to float between assigned facilities
Preferred:- 13 years of respiratory therapy experience
- CRT credential with critical care experience may be considered
- Experience with ventilator management, airway support devices, blood gas analysis, bronchoscopy assistance, or transport duties
