Join Our Team as a Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist – DAYS

Are you ready to advance your laboratory career while experiencing new locations and professional growth? We are seeking dedicated and skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) to join our travel team on a full-time, dayshift basis. This is an exceptional opportunity to utilize your expertise, expand your clinical experience, and contribute to vital patient care across diverse settings.

In this role, you will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance. You'll ensure accurate reporting of results, assist in developing new testing protocols, and potentially perform patient-oriented tasks such as phlebotomy. Your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes and support the excellence of laboratory services.

Required Skills:
  • Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
  • Valid Louisiana State Licensure
  • Ability to perform both routine and complex laboratory procedures
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in blood banking, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, or urinalysis
  • Experience with laboratory software systems
  • Cross-training experience in multiple laboratory sections
  • Phlebotomy skills and patient interaction experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field from an accredited institution
  • No experience required for new graduates from approved NAACLS or equivalent programs
  • One year of approved laboratory experience including rotations across multiple lab sections within the past five years

Other Requirements:
  • Must possess current certification and maintain it throughout employment
  • Ability to work full-time dayshift hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as assigned
  • Travel reimbursement and licensure/certification expenses covered when applicable
