What You’ll Do

• Provide independent nursing care in the operating room and surgical units
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor for side effects or effectiveness
• Document patient histories, symptoms, and treatments accurately
• Assess patient needs and provide education to patients and families
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Assist in managing contingencies and delegating tasks as needed
• Support long-range planning and quality improvement initiatives within the surgical setting

What You Need
Required:

• RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification from AHA
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience in surgical or operating room nursing
