What Youll Do
- Provide specialized critical care for patients with DKA, respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator support
- Manage complex cases involving intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, post-op cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT
- Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient responses
- Document patient history, symptoms, and care activities accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver individualized patient care
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery processes
- Participate in shift handoffs, assessments, and ongoing patient evaluations
What You Need
Required:- Valid RN license in Louisiana or a compact license
- BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience (new graduates may be considered)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend
Preferred:- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, post-surgical care, CRRT
