Commissioning TechnicianDivision Data Centers FLSAClassification Full Time Non-ExemptWork Comp Class Code 7605Overview The Commissioning Technician at 3S Incorporated is responsible for checkout troubleshooting programming testing and training on system installations. This role serves as the sites technical expert and will travel to various sites as needed for commissioning activities.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTravel to job sites across North America to troubleshoot technical installation issues along with programming control panels and other devices.Verify the operation of all initiation notification interlock and releasing devicesComplete required commissioning formsProvide on-site end-user system trainingEnsure installations meet contract documents NFPA standards FM Global requirements and client specifications.Coordinate inspections testing and system commissioning.Address punch list items and ensure timely closeout.Enforce company safety policies OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.Conduct job hazard analyses JHAs toolbox talks and safety audits Communication & Client Coordination.Participate in coordination meetings look-ahead planning and progress reviews.Provide accurate daily reports schedules and status updates to project leadership.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to learn data center procedures and policies.Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.Strong leadership in high-pressure schedule-driven environments.Ability to study and obtain NICET certifications and required state licenses.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite andor other related systemsQualifications and ExperienceHigh School DiplomaDemonstrated experience with fire protection systems suppression and life safety.NICET certification Level I-IV in Fire Alarm Special Hazards or related discipline is preferred but not preferredOSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with NFPA FM Global and local AHJ requirements is highly preferred but not requiredPhysical RequirementsFlexibility to work weekends or night shifts as business needs requireTravelling will be required to perform this roleUse of personal protective equipment PPE as requiredProlonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds at timesBENEFITS AND COMPENSATIONThis role will be based out of our El Paso Texas branch.
