3rd-year & 4th-Year Electrical Apprentice

Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top talent. We are currently seeking a 4th-Year Electrical Apprentice for a client within the Power Generation Construction industry.

Our client is seeking experienced electrical apprentices to support a large-scale power generation project in Midland, TX. This is a long-term, approximately 2-year project offering competitive pay, per diem, and the opportunity to work alongside a skilled team on a critical energy infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have 6,000–8,000 documented hours of electrical field work, strong industrial or commercial experience, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Install conduit, cable trays, conductors, panels, switchgear, and associated electrical equipment under appropriate supervision.
  • Assist with wire terminations, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project drawings.
  • Coordinate work activities with journeyman electricians, project management, contractors, and other trades.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all site safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3rd year apprentice with 4,000 to 6,000 documented hours of field work
  • 4th-year electrical apprentice with 6,000–8,000 documented hours of field work.
  • Experience in industrial, commercial, energy, or power generation construction.
  • Working knowledge of electrical installation methods and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.

Compensation

3rd year $26.75-$28.25 & 4th year $30.00–$31.50 per hour

Additional Benefits

  • Approximately 2-year project duration
  • Six days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • $191 per day worked in per diem for travelers
  • $100 per day worked in per diem for local employees commuting to their primary residence each night
