3rd Shift Extruder Utility Operator
Hours: 10:00PM-6:00AM (must report 15 minutes prior and remain 15 after shift for changeover)
Pay Rate: $19.33 per hour
What You’ll Do
As an Extruder Utility Operator, you will help operate and maintain equipment throughout the Extrusion department, including Extruders, Auto-Die, Corrugators, and One-Pass Lines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment.
- Perform machine changeovers, startups, and die changes/gapping.
- Load and thread raw materials and monitor material flow.
- Adjust machine settings such as temperatures, speeds, feed rates, and tooling.
- Operate conveyors, feed rolls, ovens, pumps, and related equipment.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Monitor coating thickness, appearance, dimensions, and overall product quality.
- Identify defects and make adjustments when necessary.
- Monitor raw material rolls and perform splices to maintain continuous production.
- Operate auto-die cutting equipment.
- Move raw materials and finished products throughout the production area.
- Remove scrap and waste materials.
- Complete production paperwork and record downtime and material information.
- Perform routine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
- Rotate between different positions and perform various tasks within the production cell.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and some climbing.
- Routinely lift approximately 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Some materials may weigh up to approximately 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with temperatures ranging from approximately 55°F–100°F, with higher temperatures near ovens for short periods.
- Noise levels can reach approximately 94 dB.
