3rd Shift Production Supervisor

What You’ll Do

As our 3rd Shift Supervisor, you’ll lead day-to-day production activities while supporting your team’s success. You will:

• Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees.
• Assign work and coordinate production activities to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Monitor production flow, efficiency, quality, scrap, and rework.
• Communicate with employees and management to quickly address production, quality, staffing, and equipment concerns.
• Provide constructive feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and help resolve workplace issues.
• Identify problems, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Lead by example and promote teamwork, accountability, and RIMA’s core values.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong time-management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to professionally address and resolve workplace conflicts.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production machinery, skilled trades, machine repair, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Experience reading blueprints and using gauges or other manufacturing measurement equipment.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you’ll be accountable for the performance of your assigned production areas, including safety, quality, productivity, scrap, rework, housekeeping, and continuous improvement. You’ll keep management informed of performance and challenges while taking an active role in developing solutions.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position works in a light manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to machinery noise, fumes, and temperature variations. Employees are expected to follow all established safety procedures while working around operating equipment.
 
The position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds repetitively and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
 
Required PPE includes hearing protection and safety glasses, which are provided by RIMA, as well as employee-provided slip-resistant footwear.
