3rd Shift Material Handler
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1st day will be on 1st Shift for orientation and safety training)
Required attendance at monthly meetings
Pay Rate: $19.69 per hour

Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, unloading, and staging materials and customer products throughout the facility. This position plays an important role in keeping production running smoothly by ensuring materials and components are available where they are needed while following all safety, quality, and production procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move materials and products throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload materials, containers, pallets, and customer components.
  • Move materials to and from production and processing areas according to established procedures.
  • Stage materials and finished products in designated locations.
  • Keep production areas supplied with the materials needed to maintain workflow.
  • Verify materials and products against work orders, labels, or other documentation.
  • Inspect materials for obvious damage or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Follow established quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Properly document material movements and production-related activities.
  • Identify and report damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork.
  • Perform routine inspections of material-handling equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operating procedures.
  • Assist in other production, shipping, receiving, or material-handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn additional processes and equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, and lift.
  • Ability to safely handle materials and components of varying sizes and weights.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where noise, heat, dust, and industrial equipment may be present.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
