3D Technical Designer – Children’s Apparel

Join a renowned Wholesale Manufacturer specializing in branded and licensed children's fashion in NYC. This role involves overseeing and ensuring the quality and fit of children's wear through technical design expertise. You will collaborate with design and production teams to set lasting fit and construction standards that align with our brand identity.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate closely with the team to develop and uphold fit and construction standards, ensuring top-notch brand quality.
- Draft comprehensive specification packages, incorporating grading rules and unique construction details for each style.
- Conduct precise measurement and analysis of development and prototype samples for quality and workmanship.
- Organize and direct fit sessions with design and production departments.
- Liaison with vendors to convey detailed instructions on measurements and construction, including diagrams or patterns as needed.
- Partner with production to ensure full compliance with children's safety standards.
- Respond to inquiries about fit, specifications, and construction via email.

**Qualifications:**
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, with a focus on children's apparel.
- Proficient in Browzwear 3D software or similar design tools.
- Expertise in evaluating samples to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Strong understanding of knit and woven garment construction, including patternmaking and sewing techniques.
- Familiarity with garment manufacturing and product development.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Word; Illustrator skills are a plus.
- Availability to work on-site five days a week.
