Primary
Purpose:
Conducts
workplace
investigations
into
allegations
of
employee
misconduct,
violations
of
policy,
and
other
incidents.
Prepares
high-quality,
comprehensive
investigation
reports
and
related
documents.
Assists
district
and
campus
administrators
in
managing
issues
related
to
investigations,
complaints,
and
employee
grievances.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's
degree
in
Education,
Criminal
Justice,
Human
Resources,
Communications,
Public
Administration
or
a
related
field
Verifiable
certification
and/or
specialized
training
in
workplace,
administrative,
criminal,
or
regulatory
investigations
Experience:
Minimum
of
five
(5)
years
of
law
enforcement,
regulatory
agency,
human
resources
compliance,
or
employee
relations
experience,
in
a
position
primarily
responsible
for
conducting
investigations
involving
employee
misconduct,
criminal
offenses,
regulatory
or
administrative
violations,
or
legal
claims
Three
(3)
years
of
experience
as
an
investigator
conducting
employee
misconduct,
professional
standards,
or
Title
IX
investigations
for
a
K-12
school
district,
preferred
Special

Responsibilities

Duties:
Workplace
Investigations
/
Employee
Relations
1.
Conduct
prompt,
thorough,
and
impartial
investigations
into
allegations
of
employee
misconduct,
violations
of
applicable
state
or
federal
law,
and
district
policies.
2.
Interview
witnesses,
collect
and
review
a
variety
of
types
of
documentary,
digital,
and
electronic
evidence,
including
surveillance
video.
3.
Collaborate
and
confer
with
district
and
campus
administrators,
outside
law
enforcement
agencies,
and/or
Texas
Department
of
Family
and
Protective
Services
representatives.
4.
Assists
with
the
employee
grievance
process
as
needed.
5.
Assists
campus
and
department
administrators
with
guidance
concerning
investigations
and
inquiries
handled
at
the
campus
level
when
appropriate.
Reports
and
Correspondence
6.
Prepare
highly
detailed
and
professional
investigation
reports
and
ancillary
documents.
7.
Prepare
written
reports,
correspondence,
and
memoranda
of
investigative
findings.
8.
Maintain
paper
and
digital
files
and
records
related
to
investigations
and
other
matters.
9.
Review
and
respond
to
Ethics
Line
complaints
as
assigned.
10.
Prepare
correspondence,
forms,
and
reports
in
accordance
with
district
standards
and
requirements.

11.
Present
updates
on
pending
and
completed
investigations
and
related
matters
to
district
and
campus
administrators
and
at
senior
leadership
meetings.
12.
Answer
and
respond
to
incoming
calls
and
emails
concerning
investigations
and
related
matters.
13.
Create
or
assist
with
presentations
on
relevant
topics
for
various
groups,
such
as
new
employee
orientation
and
campus
administrators.
14.
Establish
and
maintain
effective
relationships
with
representatives
from
local,
state,
and
federal
agencies.
15.
Maintain
confidentiality
of
sensitive,
confidential,
or
privileged
information
and
data.
16.
Perform
all
other
