    JOB OVERVIEW: The 340B Program Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, quality control and optimization of the Federal 340B Drug Discount program at Valley Medical Center. Under the direction of the 340B Program Supervisor and VP of Pharmacy Services, the analyst performs a variety of operational duties to ensure compliance with 340B regulatory requirements and program standards.

    DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy Services

    WORK HOURS: Days, as required to fulfill responsibilities.

    REPORTS TO: Supervisor Pharmacy 340B Program

    PREREQUISITES:

    340B Program Operations Analyst:

    Bachelor''s degree plus one to three (1-3) years industry related experience, OR Associate''s degree and four (4) years related experience, OR five (5) years related experience.

Pharmacy education/degree/licensure. Experience in pharmacy, hospital/healthcare operations, such as state and federal regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory control/purchasing experience, hospital billing and coding procedures is a plus.

    Certifications: Any certifications related to software applications, technology infrastructure and/or clinical specializations preferred. Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certification required within two years of hire date.

    340B Program Operations Analyst Sr.:

    Bachelor''s degree plus five (5) years industry related experience, OR Associate''s degree and eight (8) years related experience, OR ten (10) years related experience.

    Applied Job Experience: 340 Program Services Background: Industry experience preferred as a 340B program analyst with 340B program audit experience or Clinical Background: Clinical experience in health care, hospital/health system pharmacy. Pharmacy education/degree/licensure. Experience in pharmacy, hospital/healthcare operations, such as state and federal regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory control/purchasing experience, hospital billing and coding procedures is a plus. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to function as a program lead required.

    Certifications: Any certifications related to software applications, technology infrastructure and/or clinical specializations preferred. Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certification required.

    GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Demonstrated understanding of healthcare, pharmacy and 340B operations.

    Demonstrated ability to set priorities, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines.

    Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, learn quickly with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    Demonstrated analytical and process re-design skills, including problem solving, quantitative reasoning and workflow processing.

    Demonstrated communication and organizational skills, and ability to function and contribute as part of coordinated team.

    Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers including but not limited to clinical personnel, support and technical staff, external customers, third-party administrators, and regulatory agencies.

    Working knowledge regarding compliance, regulatory, quality assurance and control aspects related to pharmacy purchasing operations and inventory management.

    Education and/or experience in development and implementation of compliance programs with proficiency in auditing.

    Ability to proficiently work with Microsoft Office programs, Epic EHR, Willow Ambulatory, pharmacy
