2nd Shift Transfer Press Operator

·         Understanding of programming and setup of Die Protection Sensor.

·         Understanding of tonnage monitors.

·         Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications working with die setters.

·         Install nest and fingers.

·         Positions work piece in nest or feeder.

·         Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.

·         Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors including first piece.

·         Cleans machines.

·         Catches, packs and inspects parts.

·         Operate Quality Gages.

·         Perform hourly checks.

·         Fill out lot tags, production reports, and die maintenance control forms.

·         Reports any problems to Coordinator.

·         Punctual and regular attendance is required.

·         Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication.  Tools utilized include handheld pliers, wrenches screw/drivers, die bars, etc.

·         Keeps work areas clean and orderly.

·         Participates in continuous improvement activities.

·         Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

·         12-24 monthsof Production Operator in stamping experience.

·         Must be familiar with press operation.

·         Successfully complete hilo training program within 30 days.
