Join Parker Lord as a Transfer Press Operator and be part of a team that helps build high-performance solutions used in some of the world's most demanding industries. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you''ll operate transfer molding presses and support post-bond operations that contribute to products used across recreational, automotive, transportation, industrial equipment, electronics, energy, and advanced manufacturing.

In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will operate transfer molding presses, perform post-bond and finishing work, clean and package parts, and help keep production moving through the work cell. This position requires attention to detail, a strong focus on safety and quality, and the ability to follow procedures and identify quality concerns.

This position requires initiative and the ability to prioritize safety while consistently maintaining high-quality standards.

Essential Job Functions

Press Operation

• Operate transfer molding presses according to established procedures, manufacturing processes, routers, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Load materials, components, or inserts into molds or press equipment as required by the job setup and production instructions.
• Monitor press cycles to ensure equipment is operating properly, and parts are being produced according to expected standards.
• Safely remove molded or bonded parts from the press efficiently once the cycle is complete.
• Support efficient use of time, equipment, and materials by organizing work and preparing for upcoming jobs when appropriate.

Post-Bond, Cleaning, and Finishing Operations

• Perform post-bond operations as required, which may include trimming, deflashing, separating, inspecting, or preparing parts for the next step in the process.
• Clean parts according to work instructions, routers, or customer requirements using approved tools, materials, and methods.
• Inspect parts visually during handling and cleaning to identify obvious defects, contamination, incomplete bonding, damage, or other quality concerns.
• Ensure finished parts meet cleanliness, handling, and packaging expectations before moving to the next operation or final shipment.

Quality and Documentation

• Maintain required production and quality records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete paperwork, labels, production logs, inspection records, and other documentation as required for each job.
• Verify that parts, materials, quantities, and packaging match the applicable router and work instructions, report quality issues to the proper channels.

Support and Cell Operations

• Communicate effectively with team members, leaders, supervisors, quality, maintenance, and other support functions.
• Help maintain a steady workflow by identifying needs within the production team and taking initiative to assist where appropriate.
• Perform other direct and indirect manufacturing duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Safety, 5S, and Housekeeping

• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and required PPE.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards. Properly handle tools, materials, chemicals, equipment, and finished parts.
• Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or potential hazards.

Competencies

Required

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal procedures, processes, routers, and work instructions.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and production documentation accurately and on time.
• Good judgment and initiative in arranging work sequences to support efficient use of time and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment. Willingness to assist others and support production.

Work Experience

Required

• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience or relatable.

Preferred

• Preferred experience may include work in molding, press operation, rubber manufacturing, assembly, packaging, inspection, material handling, or another production-based environment.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Language Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve standing for extended periods, performing repetitive motions, handling parts and materials, and working near production equipment. The operator may be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, heat, odors, moving equipment, and varying production demands.

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
