Position Overview

  • Job Title: 2nd Shift Quality Inspector

  • Pay Rate: $22.00 – $26.00 / hour (depending on experience)

  • Shift/Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM

  • Schedule: Monday – Saturday (6 days/week | Mandatory Overtime)

  • Location: On-site in Santa Fe Springs, CA

  • Start Date: ASAP
What You’ll Do

  • Blueprint & Specs: Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.

  • Dimensional Inspections: Perform precise visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, optical comparators, and other specialized measuring equipment.

  • Testing & Reports: Conduct product/material testing using tools like tensile testers, hardness testers, rheometers, and particle counters.

  • Quality Audits: Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and prepare formal reports in accordance with AS9102 standards.

  • End-to-End Quality: Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on raw materials, components, and finished goods.

  • Data & Documentation: Comfortably enter, update, and maintain accurate inspection data and quality records in our computer systems.
What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing setting.

  • Industry Background: Previous experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or aerospace industries is preferred/highly valued.

  • Technical Skills: Strong mastery of blueprint reading, GD&T, AS9102 FAI requirements, and precision measurement tools.

  • Computer Literacy: Comfortable with routine computer data entry and system input.

  • Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
