    Description

    Venteon is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to fill an opening on 2nd Shift with a company located in Metro Detroit.

     

    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    • Join a Tier 1 manufacturing environment with a focus on automotive production, ideally in a machining setting

    • Full-time, direct-hire position on 2nd Shift

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Accomplishing production goals by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

    • Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company policies and procedures

    • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on equipment, resources, and PPE; managing safety and production training for all associates

    • Continuously monitoring safety issues and implementing corrective actions

    • Maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures

    • Collaborating with Human Resources to interview, orient, and train employees; developing personal growth opportunities for new team members

    • Monitoring personnel and resources to maintain production, implementing cost reductions, and correcting process breakdowns

    • Fostering cooperation between shifts and departments

    • Meeting production needs by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results in end-of-shift reports

    • Maintaining quality by establishing and enforcing standards

     

    WHAT IS REQUIRED

    • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience

    • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a production environment

    • Experience with automotive production supervision, ideally in a machining environment

    • Ability to lead a diverse workforce

    • Understanding of plant safety protocols
